One source, every collection
Every collection starts with hides sourced across Africa and cut in Vereeniging, South Africa, by a company that makes only bookbinding leather. Each hide is cut on a Teseo machine and passes four stages of manual inspection before it becomes a cover. The Artisan and Heritage journals are full-grain leather, the top of the hide with its natural marks intact. The Inspire notebooks are pebbled leather from the same source. No two journals are exactly alike.

The elastic closure
A notebook gets thicker as it fills with tickets, cards and folded pages. The elastic band across the front edge keeps it closed anyway, and holds a pen. There are no clips or snaps to break.
